IC Computer Labs

Services

Instructional Computing is the principal provider of academic computing services to the campus. Our offerings have been organized for students, faculty, staff, and others in the community.

For students we offer a number of instructional and open access computing labs for coursework applications and general access drop-in use. Additionally, we offer free software workshops, a web-based software help guide, and free email and web publishing accounts.

For faculty we offer a variety of computing labs for lectures and discussions involving hands-on instruction. Faculty may also register their courses with us to reserve lab hours for their students.

For both staff and faculty we offer software training classes through our Training and Development program; the Software-Depot, a one-stop shop for software available at a discount to the campus community; and a web-based software help guide, providing quick reference information for a variety of popular applications.

For others in the community we provide information on renting our labs, technical details on the software and hardware that run our labs and our cost recovery system for lab printing, and a number of links to other campus resources.
