IC Computer Labs

Welcome

Instructional Computing (IC) provides a variety of computing services for the UCSB community. Our student services include open-access computing labs and software workshops. For faculty members, we provide teaching labs for computer-based coursework. UCSB staff are eligible to enroll in our training programs for various popular software applications.

Additionally, Instructional Computing is the home of several subsidiary services. U-Mail provides e-mail and web publishing for the student population. The Campus Office of Software Licensing provides a one-stop shop for software site licenses, volume purchases, and other packages available for educational discounts. And our Departmental E-Mail Service provides e-mail outsourcing for departments that no longer want to run their own mail servers.

IC operates as an academic support unit under the administrative umbrella of the Office of Academic Programs.
